How a Storyteller Came to Be…
I wished for a lot of things growing up, but the thing I craved most was to feel seen. When I started therapy in 7th grade, it made me feel isolated — more than I already felt. No one else I knew was going through the same things. Trying to explain your mental health to someone is already daunting; doing it in middle school isn’t any easier.
The only “place” I felt any peace was in art. Writing, photography, and painting were some of my first loves, and they turned into an emotional outlet for me to better communicate and connect. Today my mission is simple: create spaces I wish I had through storytelling.
Everyone and everything has a story. My experience in media has given me a skill set necessary for genuine, trusted storytelling. I hope you find something relatable, funny, insightful, valuable, or something in between. And whether you do or not, I’d love to hear from you.
